In AVIS-IBIS Portal Species Profile page is the main access to all available information on the individual species.
We have kept Species Profiles as simple as possible to enrich the user experience and navigation. Each Species profile page has standard look. Each page is divided into many Tabs for data sharing.
1. General Information Tab
General Information Tab consists General information on the species. eg. Scientific name, common name, family, order, Vernacular name, Pictures and user contributed species profile.
2. Taxonomy Tab
Taxonomy lists various taxonomical status of the species across various authorities eg. Clements Checklist of World Birds, Howard and Moore Complete Chcklist of the Birds of the World, IOC World Birdnames, Birdlife International etc.
3. Bibliography Tab
Bibliography Tab consists latest 100 papers on the species listed year wise. If species bibliography consist more than 100 papers please use Species Bibliography module for complete bibliography of the species.
4. Book Excerpts Tab
Book Excerpts Tab shows various book excerpts for the species. Click on the book name and it will show excerpts about the species in the given book.
5. Museum Collection Tab
Museum Collection Tab shows data on the collection of species housed in various museums. It has all the standard information eg. locality, date of collection, collector, museum catalog, etc.
6. Sound/Call Tab
Sound/Call tab helps in getting Sound / Call of the respective species from Xeno-Canto.
7. Links Tab
Links Tab give various links to the other database for more information.
