I'm technocrat trying to find out smarter ways to get away from the “technology world” for my pursuits in wildlife. I have a keen interest in Ornithological Research specially Historical Ornithology of Indian Subcontinent, Population Dynamics, Breeding Biology and Distribution & Niche Modelling. Being a technocrate I concentrate on using IT for Conservation,"ICT4C" Information and Communication Technologies for Conservation. I strongly believes that one of the fundamental issues in the conservation of biodiversity is the non-availability of adequate and reliable information on a single platform, which would help in developing appropriate conservation strategies. An ornithologist at heart and an aspiring professional wildlife photographer with many national and international publication. I believe that wildlife photography is much more than just paraphernalia; it is essentially a way of looking at nature with a degree of sensitivity and understanding. Ph.D. in Geography and has more than 15 years of experience in the field of GIS/RS, he has capability to handle various GIS related projects independently. Well versed with field mapping techniques, image analysis, ground truthing, spatial data curation, management and spatial analysis on GIS platform etc. I have enjoyed working on this project and hope this would be helpful to a larger community.
