Abstract:The analysis. The song of territorial proclamation of P. bonelli has shown that the most stable parameters were the duration of the song, the number of units constituting them, the lower limit of the acoustic spectrum, and the form of certain elements. The most fluctuating parameters were the factors of duration of sequences and silences between songs, the rhythms in the songs, the upper limit of the acoustic spectrum, and to the form of certain sub-units. The experimentation. The experimentation shows us that the species markers are not always constituted by the least variable parameters. The most important species markers for this bird are: the sense of the frequency modulation against time, the distribution of acoustic energy in the lower part of the spectrum, the purity of the frequencies, and a sufficient duration of the signal. We have introduced the notion of "rejection markers" permitting the bird to reject some signals close to their own, by deciding rapidly and without ambiguity which behaviour to adopt. In the case of P. bonelli as an example we have discussed the relations existing between the individual variability and the fixity of species characters. We have concluded that it is a question of two aspects of the same phenomennon. /// L'analyse du chant de proclamation territoriale de Phylloscopus bonelli a montré que les paramètres les plus stables étaient la durée des chants, le nombre des motifs, la limite inférieure du spectre acoustique, la forme de certains éléments. Les paramètres les plus fluctuants sont relatifs aux facteurs de durée des séquences, des silences entre les chants, de rythme dans les chants, à la limite supérieure du spectre acoustique, à la forme de certains éléments. L'expérimentation nous a montré que les marqueurs spécifiques n'étaient pas toujours constitués par les paramètres les moins variables. Les marqueurs spécifiques les plus importants pour cet oiseau sont: le sens des modulations de fréquence lié à leur spectre, la pureté des fréquences, une durée suffisante du signal. Nous avons introduit la notion de "marqueurs de rejet" permettant à l'oiseau de rejeter des signaux proches du sien et de décider très rapidement et sans ambiguité du comportement à adopter. Contrairement aux marqueurs spécifiques ils ne sont pas redondants. En prenant le cas de P. bonelli comme exemple nous avons discuté les relations existant entre la variabilité individuelle et la fixité des caractères spécifiques. Nous en avons conclu qu'il s'agissait de deux aspects du même phénomène.
