Abstract:Pigeons were exposed to infection with fowl cholera by housing them within a house where experimental epidemics of fowl cholera in turkeys were in progress. These pigeons were subsequently allowed to cohabit with susceptible turkeys, no turkeys developed fowl cholera, suggesting that the common pigeon is not a vector of fowl cholera.
