Genus RHINORTHA

Bill longer than in the preceding genera and compressed, the culmen almost straight till near the tip ; nostril oval, longitudinal; naked area around the eye not separated from the bill by feathers on the lores. Wings and tail as in Zanclostomus. Feathers of head spiny. Sexes different.
A single species.
