36. Pucrasia nipalensis.

THE NEPAL KOKLASS PHEASANT.

Pokrass, Nepal

Male 24"; 2 lbs. Female 21"; 1 1/2 to 2 lbs. Legs bluish grey. Bill dusky. Triangular white patch on throat, edged with black-brown markings. Mantle, sides of neck, and flank-feathers striated black, chestnut, and grey.— Female: As in P. macrolopha, but more rich in colour. Central Himalayas and W. Nepal. (H. & M. i. 165.)
