Scops cypria, Madarasz. Termesz. Fuset. 1901, p. 272.
Male ad. (Cyprus). Differs from S. giu in being much darker in plumage ; upper parts darker and greyer, the markings on the under parts thicke and blacker. Culmen 0.75, wing 6.3, tail 2.78, tarsus 1.1 inch.
Hab. Cyprus.
An insular form, resident on the island of Cyprus. In habits and nidification it does not appear to differ from S. giu.
