Genus MUNIA

Munia Hodgs., As. Res., xix, p. 153, 1836.

Type, Munia atricapilla Vieill.

The genus Munia contains two Indian species which are characterized by a short and rounded tail, having the middle pair of fathers very narrow and pointed and much shorter than the wing. The sexes are alike.
