Genus ANTHROPOIDES

GENUS, Anthropoides, Vieill.

Bill shorter than Grus, depressed at the base, and slightly swollen at the tip ; tarsus lengthened ; head and neck densely feathered ; the feathers of the neck and breast lanceolate and hackled. Of smaller size, and the neck less lengthened than in the previous species.
