Genus GRACUPICA

Gracupica Lesson, Traits, p. 401 (1831). Type, Gracupica nigricollis Paykull.

The principal characteristic of the genus Gracupica is the large extent of the bare orbital skin. The bill is long and stout with the culmen gently curved; the feathers of the forehead are short and inclined backwards.
