Genus HYPOTAENIDIA.

Bill is shorter than tarsus, but in Indian representatives it equals the tarsus. With white bars or spots on the back. Mid toe and claw varying from 1 3/4" to 2 1/3". Widely distributed in Oriental and Australian regions.
