Genus EXCALFACTORIA.

Excalfactorius, a, um=warming, heating.

First primary subequal to or shorter than second (longest). Sides without shaft streaks. Outer webs of primaries plain. No spurs. Tail of eight feathers entirely hidden by upper tail-coverts and less than half length of wing. Mono¬gamous. The Oriental region, Australia, and Africa.
