Genus ERYTHRURA

The genus Erythrura contains one species of Munia, the prevailing colours of which are green and crimson. The sexes are slightly different. In the male the tail is longer than the wing in the female it is considerably shorter. The middle pair of tail-feathers is very narrow and pointed.
