THE HAIR-CRESTED DRONGO.

Length, 11.9 ; wing, 6.5 ; tail, 5 ; tarsus, 1; bill affront, 1.4.

Bill black; irides red-brown ; legs black.

Deep black, with purple and blue reflections on the hind-neck and breast; wings deep glossy bronze-green ; tail the same ; abdomen deep black.

The Hair-crested Drongo is very rare ; it was obtained in Savantvadi by Mr. Vidal, but this is the only record of its occurrence within our limits.
