Dicaeum minullum.

Dicaeum minullum Swinhoe, Ibis, 1870, p. 240. Type-locality: South Hainan.

The typical form is greyer throughout below and a duller browner green above than in the races which come into our area. It is very close to D. m, olivaceum.

Key to Subspecies.

A. Lores and forehead whitish.
a. White forehead narrow; below a little darker………..D. m. concolor, p. 429.
b. White forehead broad and conspicuous; below a little paler and more yellow………..D, m. subflavum, p. 480.
B. Lores and forehead dusky or green.
c. Abdomen and breast practically the same colour, never contrasting………..D. m. olivaceum, p. 480.
d. Abdomen yellow, contrasting with the grey of the breast………..D. m. virescens, p. 431.
