Corvus coronoides.

Hartert, in a review of these Crows (Nov. Zool., vol. xxxv, p. 53,1929), comes to the conclusion that there are in Australia two definite species, with neither of which are our Indian and Indo-Malayan races conspecific. With this conclusion I agree; accordingly, our species of Jungle-Crow will have to bear the specific name of levaillanti and, in consequence :—
