Genus OREOCORYS

The only Pipit belonging to this genus is remarkable for the pointed shape of the tail-feathers. Otherwise it does not differ from the true Pipits.

The Upland Pipit is confined to the higher parts of the Himalayas, where it is found on grassy slopes.
