Genus ESTRELDA

GENUS, Estrelda, Swainson.

Bill much more slender than Amadina; the culmen less arched and flattened at the base, more compressed throughout, deep red in color ; tail soft and graduated ; feet moderate. Of still smaller size, and more delicate conformation.
