Key to Subspecies.

A. Abdomen and flanks decidedly washed with
pale rufous and not conspicuously sepa¬rated from rufous breast.
a. Above both males and females paler……….C.t. tickelliae, p. 234.
b. Above darker C.t. mesaea, p. 236.
B. Abdomen sharply divided from rufous breast
and very white; above a richer blue than
either of above C.t. sumatrensis,p. 235.
